Overview
- Deletion is reversible for 30 days, then permanent
- A workspace where you’re the only member goes with your account after 30 days
- If others work in your workspace, you choose who owns it next, inside the delete dialog
- An active Team plan must be cancelled first. Tashvi never cancels it for you.
- You can’t start a Team plan while your account deletion is scheduled
Accessing account deletion
Open your account menu, choose Settings, then Account, and choose Delete account. How it works
1. Read what happens
The first step explains what happens straight away and what’s permanently deleted after 30 days. Choose Continue.2. Confirm
Type your account email exactly, and choose Delete account. If you own a workspace that needs a step first, the dialog says Cannot delete yet and shows what to do, as below.3. Settle your workspace
What you see depends on your workspace:
If other people work there, the dialog lists them with their roles. Pick a Manager or Designer and choose Transfer and continue. They become the Owner, and Tashvi carries on with your deletion. An Admin can’t own a workspace and can’t be picked: make them a Manager or Designer in Settings → Organization first, then come back.
If the workspace has an active Team plan, choose Open Billing and cancel it from Manage billing in Settings → Billing → Team plan. A plan that’s set to end at the end of its billing period counts as cancelled. Then delete your account again.
4. Change your mind within 30 days
Log back in within 30 days and choose Cancel deletion on the banner. Your account stays, and so does your workspace. While your deletion is scheduled
- You can’t start a Team plan. Cancel the deletion first.
- If someone joins your workspace during the 30 days, it passes to them instead of being deleted: the longest-standing Manager first, then a Designer, then an Admin.
- When the deletion completes, you leave any other workspaces you belong to.
What happens to your designs
- Designs you made in a workspace that carries on (one you were a member of, or one you handed over) stay with that workspace. Your name, email and photo are removed from them.
- Your private designs, and designs outside any workspace, are deleted with your account.
- A workspace that is deleted with your account takes its designs with it.
Credits
Deleting your account doesn’t touch your workspace’s Team plan or its seats. Settle the plan yourself, as above. See Billing and credits.Tips for best results
- Hand over first: if you run a shop with others, make your successor the Owner from Settings → Organization before you start, so the dialog has nothing to ask.
- Promote your successor in advance: only a Manager or Designer can take over the workspace.
- Cancel the Team plan on your own terms: set it to end at the end of the period, and your deletion can go ahead straight away.
Troubleshooting
- “Cannot delete yet”: you own a workspace that needs a step first. Follow the step the dialog shows for that workspace.
- “An Admin can’t own a workspace”: change the person’s role to Manager or Designer in Settings → Organization, then delete again.
- “Your workspace has an active Team plan”: cancel it in Settings → Billing → Team plan, then delete again.
- “Cancel your account deletion before starting a Team plan”: your deletion is scheduled. Cancel it from the banner to start a Team plan.
