Turn 2D jewelry designs into manufacturing-ready 3D models. Draft converts a design image into a detailed, real-scale mesh that you can export as STL for CAD and casting.

Accessing Draft

Open Draft from the sidebar (a Pro feature), or start it from a saved design in your Gallery.

How it works

1. Add your design

Use an AI-generated design, a photo of an existing piece, or a rendered concept. Clear, well-lit images with clean backgrounds at high resolution (1024px+) work best. You can also open an existing model file (STL, 3DM, OBJ, or GLB).

2. Clean up the image

Draft runs a required Image Cleanup step first. It detects the jewelry type and flags any background or unwanted elements, so the model is built from the piece alone. Review the suggestions and apply the cleanup before generating.

3. Choose a quality level

Pick Low, High, or Max:
  • Low — fast image-to-3D. Best for quick previews.
  • High — production mesh with 4K textures, guided by an optional text prompt.
  • Max — CAD-grade: quad topology and true-millimeter scale, for manufacturing.
On High and Max, add optional custom instructions to guide materials and finish.

4. Add dimensions (Max)

On the Max tier, provide real measurements so the geometry is built to scale:
  • Jewelry type — ring, necklace, bracelet, or earring
  • Ring size (US)
  • Band width (mm)
  • Overall dimensions (mm, optional) — width, height, depth
Max conditions the geometry on these values, typically within ±2 mm of the bounding box. Leave them blank to auto-fit.

5. Generate, inspect, and export

Your model appears in the viewer. Rotate and inspect it, export the geometry as STL for CAD and casting, or render a photoreal image and download it as PNG.

Export and sharing

  • STL — real-millimeter geometry, ready for CAD and casting.
  • PNG — download photoreal renders of your model.
  • Share — publish an interactive 3D viewer link, or embed it.
To open an existing model, Draft imports STL, 3DM, OBJ, and GLB.

Credits

Credits are charged when you generate, scaled by the quality level — Low, High, or Max — with the required image cleanup charged separately.

Tips for best results

  • Image quality: high resolution (2048px+), sharp, well lit, no blur or noise.
  • Clean backgrounds: an isolated piece on a white or neutral background reconstructs most accurately.
  • Use Max for manufacturing: it builds true-millimeter geometry and accepts your exact dimensions.
  • Add dimensions on Max: a real ring size and band width make the model match the physical piece.

Troubleshooting

  • Model doesn’t match the design: use a higher-resolution source image, raise the quality level, and make sure image cleanup removed the background clutter.
  • Export won’t open: STL is the geometry export — open it in your CAD or casting software.
