Sales takes an order from the counter to the books. A sale goes from Quote to Invoiced to Paid, with an optional Reserved step to hold the pieces. It can also end Cancelled or Returned.

Start a sale

1

Open a new sale

Choose New sale on Sales, or Add → Sale.
2

Add the pieces

Search by tag, SKU, or product and add each piece to On the counter. Prices come from the product’s retail price, or from your metal rates if your shop prices by weight.
3

Pick the customer

Choose a customer, add a New customer, or leave it blank for a walk-in.
4

Open the order

Press Open the order. It starts as a quote: priced, but nothing has moved.

Move it forward

Open the order to see the next steps: When nothing is left to pay, the order shows as Paid.

Returns and refunds

To take goods back, open an invoiced order and choose Return goods. Pick the pieces, give a reason, and press Return these. The pieces go back into stock where they were sold from, and the revenue and tax on them are reversed. A return doesn’t hand money back by itself. When the shop owes the customer money, choose Hand it back and press Record refund. Choose Print / PDF on any order to print it or save it as a PDF. A quote prints as a quote, and an invoiced order as an invoice. India shops also get HSN, weight, purity, and HUID on each line.

Tax settings

Owners and managers set tax from Sales → Tax settings: your Country, a Tax profile (India GST, United States sales tax, European Union VAT, or No tax profile), and Your rate. A rate set on a product overrides the shop rate. Changes apply to new sales only.

Customers

Every customer’s orders are in Contacts: choose Purchase history under the customer’s name.

Tashvi Assistant

Ask the assistant to open, hold, or invoice an order, and confirm the card it draws.
