Segments lists the jewelry on your canvas as named parts. Click the part you mean, describe the change, and only that outline is edited.

How to open it

On Create, generate or open one design. Segments appears in the left rail, above Library.
Segments lists parts for a single image. Over a four-up variation grid or a Concepts layout, the rail hides it. Open one design and the pane fills in.

Select a part

Open Segments

Click Segments in the left rail. The pane lists the piece, then its parts.

Preview

Hover a row to outline that part on the canvas. Hover the image to light up the matching row. The smallest part under the pointer wins, so a stone inside a halo is the stone, not the halo.

Click to select

Click one part, a group (“all four prongs”), or the piece itself. Click again to take it out. You can select several parts in one turn.

Describe the change

Type in the composer the way you already do: “make this rose gold,” “change this to a cushion cut,” “remove the milgrain.”
You can also name a part. Type “the centre stone,” “the prongs holding the centre stone,” or “the bail,” or tap one of the chips (centre stone, side stones, prongs, halo, band, shoulders, setting head, bail). Confirm the outline, then type the edit. If Tashvi can’t find the part, it says so — it doesn’t invent a selection.

What the list looks like

The listing is a tree, not a flat pile of regions:
  • Piece — ring, necklace, earring, pendant, bracelet, bangle, cuff, brooch, chain, watch. A click selects the whole item.
  • Group — prong, side stone, chain link, halo. A click selects every instance in the group.
  • Instance — prong 2, chain link 5. A click selects that one part.
  • Scene — hand, person, background. These sit beside the jewelry, so you can change the setting without touching the piece.

What you can change

Once a part is selected, the follow-up is an ordinary conversational edit, scoped to that outline:
Pixels outside the selection stay the original image. If the change doesn’t land on the part you selected, the design is left alone and the chat says so — you aren’t charged for that turn.

What Segments can name

On the piece: centre stone, side stone, accent stone, stone, prong, halo, bezel, band, shank, gallery, setting head, chain link, clasp, bail, post, earring back, engraving. The piece itself: ring, necklace, earring, pendant, bracelet, bangle, cuff, brooch, chain, watch. Anything that is visibly jewelry but doesn’t fit those words is listed as other.

Troubleshooting

  • There’s no Segments entry in the rail. You have more than one image on the canvas (variations or Concepts). Open a single design.
  • No parts found. Retry, or describe the change in chat as a whole-image edit.
  • The wrong part is outlined. Click it again to deselect, then pick a smaller instance — or name the part more specifically (“the centre stone,” not “the stone”).
  • The edit didn’t apply. Create keeps your design as it was. Try describing the end result (“the band should be twice as thick”) and keep the selection.
