# Shared library

> See everything your Tashvi workspace has made in one shared library, keep a design private while you work on it, and learn what happens to a teammate's designs when they leave.

The shared library is everything your workspace has made, by everyone in it, showing who made each piece. It's how a bench jeweller finds the ring the owner described on the phone, and how an owner sees what the team made last week.

## Overview

* One library for the whole workspace, showing who made each design and when
* New designs are shared with the workspace by default
* Keep any of your own designs private, and share it when it's ready
* Nobody else can see your private designs, not even the Owner
* Designs made on a Team seat never appear on the public Explore feed
* When someone leaves, their shared designs stay with the workspace

## Accessing the library

Open [design.tashvi.ai/library](https://design.tashvi.ai/library). It has two tabs:

* **Workspace**: everything the workspace has made, by everyone in it
* **My private**: designs only you can see

Everyone in the workspace can open the library, Admins included.

## How it works

### 1. Design as usual

Designs you make in your workspace are shared with it by default. They appear under **Workspace** for everyone, marked as yours.

### 2. Keep a design private

On one of your own designs under **Workspace**, press the hidden-eye button (**Move to my private designs**). The design moves to **My private**, where only you can see it.

### 3. Share it when it's ready

Under **My private**, press the eye button (**Share with your workspace**). The design moves back to **Workspace** for everyone.

You can only move your own designs. Nobody can make someone else's design private or shared.

## Workspace and private designs

| | Workspace | Private |
| - | - | - |
| **Who can see it** | Everyone in the workspace | Only you |
| **Where it shows** | The **Workspace** tab | The **My private** tab |
| **Default** | Yes, for new designs | Move a design here yourself |

Your private designs also stay in your own [Gallery](/features/gallery).

## When someone leaves

When someone leaves the workspace or is removed:

* **Designs they shared** stay in the library.
* **Their private designs** become the workspace's after 14 days and appear under **Workspace**.
* **If they're invited back within 14 days**, their private designs stay private.
* **If they delete their Tashvi account**, the designs they shared stay in the library with their name removed. Their private designs are deleted. See [Deleting your account](/features/teams/deleting-your-account).

## Credits

The library uses no credits. Making a design uses your seat's credits, as described in [Billing and credits](/features/teams/billing-and-credits).

## Tips for best results

* **Share finished work:** keep experiments private, and share the version the shop should see.
* **Ask the maker:** every design shows who made it, so you know who to ask about the details.
* **Check before someone leaves:** ask them to share anything the shop needs, so it's in the library straight away.

## Troubleshooting

* **A design isn't in the library:** it may be private. Look under **My private**, or ask the person who made it to share it.
* **No move button on a design:** you can only move your own designs.
* **The library is empty:** nothing has been shared yet. Make a design, or invite the rest of your shop from **Settings → Organization**.
