# Variation generation

> Blend 2-10 reference images into up to 20 new designs with Imagine's Fast, Accurate, and Creative modes.

Upload 2-10 reference images, pick a mode, and generate up to 20 designs that blend their elements.

## How it works

### 1. Upload references

* **Minimum:** 2 images
* **Maximum:** 10 images
* **Best results:** 3-5 images

Use clear, well-lit photos of similar jewelry types. Blurry images, busy backgrounds, and extreme angles work poorly.

### 2. Choose a mode

**Fast** (recommended)

* FLUX Schnell, with GPT-4o-mini analysis
* 4 variations per run
* **1 credit per image**

**Accurate** (Pro+ only)

* FLUX Dev, using your reference images directly
* Closer style matching
* **3 credits per image**

**Creative** (Pro+ only)

* Google Gemini, for artistic, experimental interpretations
* **4 credits per image**

### 3. Add an optional prompt

Guide the blend:

### 4. Set variation count

1-20 variations (default 10). Start with 10; use 20 for more options, or 4-5 for quick tests.

### 5. Generate

Imagine analyzes each reference, finds common themes and materials, writes a design brief, then generates your variations.

## Credit costs

Credits are charged per image generated:

| Mode              | Credits/Image | Best For                            |
| ----------------- | ------------- | ----------------------------------- |
| **Fast Mode**     | 1 credit      | Quick exploration, initial concepts |
| **Accurate Mode** | 3 credits     | Exact replicas, style matching      |
| **Creative Mode** | 4 credits     | Artistic interpretations            |

**Example costs:**

* Fast Mode with 4 variations = 4 credits
* Accurate Mode with 10 variations = 30 credits
* Creative Mode with 10 variations = 40 credits

## Tips for best results

* Use compatible references — similar types and styles blend best.
* Start broad with Fast mode, then refine favorites in Accurate mode.
* Be specific in your prompt. Vague instructions give vague blends:

## After generation

From any variation you can:

* Save favorites to your Gallery or download them
* **Regenerate** for a different blend
* **Create new** using it as a reference
* **Generate video** or **get a CAD model**

## Imagine vs. Create

| **Credits**    | 1-4 per image            | 1-6 per image              |

Use Imagine to combine multiple inspirations; use Create to start from a text description or a single image.

## Troubleshooting

* **Results don't blend well:** use more compatible images, add a prompt, or try Accurate mode.
* **Variations too similar:** raise the count, use Creative mode, or add more varied references.
* **AI can't analyze references:** check image quality and remove busy backgrounds.
* **Out of credits:** reduce the count, switch to Fast mode, or upgrade to Pro.
