# Design sheets

> Ask Tashvi AI's Create for a jewelry design sheet — aligned technical views with dimension callouts and labels, for briefing a CAD modeler or a client. The measurements are indicative, not a manufacturing drawing.

A design sheet draws your piece the way a development sheet looks on the bench: aligned views in fine pencil linework, a few dimension callouts in millimeters, and small labels for the metal, stone, and setting. Use it to brief a CAD modeler or show a client how a piece is put together.

> [!WARNING]
>
> A design sheet is a **concept sheet, not a manufacturing drawing**. Its measurements are indicative, and the views are drawn rather than projected from a 3D model, so they can differ slightly from one another. Have a jeweler or CAD modeler check every dimension before anything is cast.

## How to ask

There's no button — ask for a sheet in the Create chat, in your own words. For example:

* "Sketch a plain peridot pendant as a CAD design sheet"
* "Make a technical sheet of this"
* "Draw up a development sheet with the measurements"

Asking for a sketch *style* ("a ring in a pencil-sketch style") gives you an ordinary design drawn as a sketch, and asking to see a piece from another angle ("show it from the side") gives you a photo-style view. A sheet is what you get when you ask for the drawings themselves.

## What's on a sheet

* **Views** — for a ring: top, side, front, and three-quarter, plus a section on a new design. Pendants and other pieces get the views that suit them.
* **Dimension callouts** — up to five key measurements in millimeters, such as the center stone size and band width.
* **Labels** — the metal, stone, and setting.
* **A spec line in the reply** — the same numbers in text, because an image can occasionally misdraw a digit.

A ring size, when one is shown, is an assumption unless you give it. Tell Tashvi the size, the stone dimensions, or the metal you need, and the sheet uses them.

## New designs, this design, or each design

| You ask for | What you get |
| - | - |
| New pieces as sheets ("three pendant ideas as design sheets") | A different design on each sheet |
| The design on screen as a sheet ("make a technical sheet of this") | That design drawn as a sheet; add a change in the same message if you like |
| A sheet of each design in a set ("a sheet of each of these") | One sheet per design, numbered like the set |

With a sheet on screen, keep talking — "make the band thinner" redraws the sheet with that change.

## Where it works

Design sheets are on Create on the web. The mobile app doesn't draw them yet.

## Credits

A sheet costs the same as a design at your chosen [quality tier](https://docs.tashvi.ai/features/create/quality-tiers.md).

## When you need real measurements

A design sheet is where a piece is described, not where it's measured. For a 3D model you can export, use [Draft](https://docs.tashvi.ai/features/draft.md). For CAD built to measured dimensions, [Parametric Studio](https://docs.tashvi.ai/features/parametric.md) is in Beta on Pro plans and above.
